VCLS Boardroom Lunch supporting International Justice Mission Australia

The Victorian Christian Legal Society is proud to be hosting a boardroom lunch in support of International Justice Mission Australia (IJM) on Monday 12 February 2018.

IJM is a non-government organisation that works to protect the poor from violence. IJM funds lawyers, social workers and aftercare professionals throughout Asia, South Asia, Africa and South America, who collaborate with local authorities to:

  • Rescue and protect people from rights abuses such as s*x trafficking, child s*xual assault, cybers*x trafficking, forced labour/slavery, property grabbing, and police abuse of power;
  • Prosecute perpetrators;
  • Provide aftercare services and support to victims; and
  • Strengthen justice systems.

The keynote speaker at the lunch will be IJM’s Australian CEO, Caroly Houmes. Caroly will be speaking on how IJM has been assisting to prosecute perpetrators of online s*xual exploitation of children in the Philippines and providing restoration to victims.
