We are pleased to announce that the 3rd Australasian Christian Legal Convention will be held on 29 September to 1 October 2016 in Brisbane (venue TBA). The theme of the Convention will be “Redeeming the law for the kingdom of God in Australia“.
We are privileged to have Mr Mike Schutt from the USA as our keynote international speaker for the event. Schutt is the director of the Christian Legal Society (CLS) Law Student Ministries and of the Institute for Christian Legal Studies, a cooperative ministry of the CLS and Trinity Law School, where he is a Visiting Professor. He previously practised law with US firm Thompson & Knight. Schutt currently writes, speaks, and teaches on the relationship of lawyers, faith, and culture. He is the author of Redeeming Law: Christian Calling and the Legal Profession (InterVarsity Press 2007), a vocational exhortation for law students and lawyers.
The Convention is a major event that will bring together Christian legal practitioners from all over Asia, Australia and New Zealand. We hope to see you there.

We are pleased to announce that Diane Spicer, the CEO of Prison Network Ministries, and Laurel Gore, Prison Network Ministries Senior Support Worker, will be joining us and sharing at the VCLS Christmas Carols Service on Tuesday 8 December 2015!
An recipient of support from the Prison Network Ministries will also share her life-changing experience founded by the dedication and support of Prison Network Ministries. You’ll be challenged, inspired and hopefully will reach out to provide support for this great organisation during this festive season.
There will be also an opportunity to give towards the work that Prison Network Ministries including a pop-up store where you can purchase last-minute Christmas cards with proceeds going to Prison Network Ministries.
There will be a few nibbles and drinks beforehand and we will be going to TGI Fridays at Melbourne Central for dinner/drinks after the event.
So join us for an evening of carols, fellowship, giving and celebration in the CBD. Do invite colleagues, friends, family, Christian or non-Christian … all welcome.
